What is Virtual Campus?
Virtual Campus is a highly secure solution developed by Meganexus to support people in prisons with their employment or skills development upon release. The system is used across 113 prisons in England and Wales and over 150,000 prisoners have benefitted through Virtual Campus.
The system is used by
Prison staff
To manage the learning plans and progress and employment support of prisoners pre and post release.
Prisoners
To access employment-focused learning material, connect with external employment providers, get support on CV building, get one-to-one rehabilitation support.
External support providers
To signpost their support services and manage the services securely.
Key Features
Flexible learning plans
Each learner can have a learning plan customised to achieve their goals.
Online courses
Based on the learning plans the learner can access courses. The system ensures learners don’t skip through and complete the courses.
Certifications
After successful completion, learners are awarded with certificates which can be shared with employers.
Reporting
Prison staff, people in prisons and external service providers can create and export reports to get insights on the useful data.
